Giacomo Montecristo
Correction
The mayor listed here is outdated. Leni’s official municipal site now identifies Ireneo Giardinello as mayor, and shows Giacomo Montecristo’s term ended on April 28, 2024.
Full reasoning
This entry names Giacomo Montecristo as the current mayor, but Leni’s own official municipal website says otherwise.
- On the current Comune di Leni – Sindaco page, the municipality lists “Giardinello Ireneo - Sindaco” as the officeholder.
- The municipality’s Amministrazione Precedente page separately lists “Prof. Montecristo Giacomo” as mayor “in carica dal 28/04/2019 al 28/04/2024”.
So Montecristo was a previous mayor, not the current one. The article is using outdated officeholder information.
