Dismislab reports that the footage is from an earlier Israeli airstrike on Yemen’s Hodeidah port, not Saudi Arabia. PolitiFact reached the same conclusion, saying two Arabic news reports from July 2024 show identical or near-identical footage of the Hodeidah strike.
Contemporaneous reporting from Al Jazeera on July 21, 2024 also describes Israel’s strike on Hodeidah port as having hit fuel depots and caused a massive fire, which matches the kind of port-side blaze seen in the attached video.
So the problem here is the time and place: regardless of any real events in Riyadh around this period, this specific video was already circulating in 2024 and was filmed in Hodeidah, Yemen, not in Riyadh “now.”
