Maryland's Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said when Bremer left prison in 2007 that "Arthur Bremer was not paroled" and that he was released on mandatory supervision because Maryland law required release after sentence-reduction credits were earned. The same release says the Maryland Parole Commission had denied him parole 10 years earlier.
That makes the article's label "Paroled" wrong on the merits: his 2007 release was not a parole grant.
It is also outdated as a current status label. In May 2025, Maryland's Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services confirmed that Bremer had completed his sentence, so as of 2026 he is not even under parole-style supervision anymore.
So the page should not describe his criminal status as "Paroled." A more accurate description would reflect mandatory supervised release in 2007 and sentence completion in 2025.
