The Deutsche Bundespost eventually became Deutsche Post AG, a share holding company, later reintegrating the Postbank, and Deutsche Telekom.
This conflates separate successor companies. In 1995 Deutsche Bundespost was split into three successors — Deutsche Post AG, Deutsche Telekom AG, and Deutsche Postbank AG — and Deutsche Telekom did not become part of Deutsche Post AG.

Official German Finance Ministry pages say something different:
- Deutsche Post AG was created in 1995 as one of three successor companies of the Bundespost, not as the single company that all parts became.
- Deutsche Bundespost TELEKOM was separately transformed into Deutsche Telekom AG on 1 January 1995.
- The same Finance Ministry page for Deutsche Post AG says Postbank AG was sold to Deutsche Bank, with the transaction completed in February 2012. So describing Postbank as simply "later reintegrated" into Deutsche Post AG is misleading/outdated, and describing Deutsche Telekom that way is flatly wrong.
In short: the Bundespost was split into separate successor companies in 1995; Deutsche Telekom remained a separate company, and Postbank was later divested by Deutsche Post.
