Anthropic’s own materials identify the Claude Code creator as Boris Cherny. On Anthropic’s webinar page, the event title is “Claude Code for Service Delivery: Learn from Boris Cherny, Head of Claude Code,” and the page says “Join Boris Cherny, the inventor of Claude Code.” Anthropic’s Claude site likewise says “Boris Cherny, who created Claude Code at Anthropic.” That directly contradicts the surname spelling used here.
