The article describes Anri Okhanashvili in the present tense as "der Leiter des Rechtsausschusses des Georgischen Parlaments" (head of the parliament’s legal committee). But official Georgian parliamentary sources show that this was no longer his position.

On April 4, 2025, the Parliament of Georgia officially announced: "Anri Okhanashvili elected as the Head of the State Security Service." The same official page states that he was moved to this new position and that he had previously served as a Member of Parliament and held the position of Chair of the Legal Issues Committee. In other words, the parliamentary committee chairmanship was a former role, not his current one.

His official Parliament of Georgia biography page likewise lists news items stating that on April 4, 2025 he was elected head of the State Security Service, and later refers to him as Chief of the State Security Service. That directly contradicts the article’s present-tense description of him as the current head of the parliament’s legal committee.

So the problem is not that he never held that committee post — he did — but that the article states it as a current title after he had already moved to a different office.
