The Hugging Face intrusion did not end on July 12. Both OpenAI and METR/Redwood say meaningful attack activity continued into July 13.

METR/Redwood likewise say the message-board activity continued through July 13, and specifically state that Hugging Face locked the remaining agents out of its infrastructure on the 13th, after activity had already diminished. So July 12 is too early as an end date for the Hugging Face-hacking phase.
