That's nearly 300x scale for one platform.
The scale factor is off by about 10x. Using the post’s own 100 million-user baseline, 3.0–3.07 billion Facebook MAUs works out to about 30x, not 300x.
Full reasoning
This sentence is an arithmetic error.
The post first states a baseline of 100 million users for Muse. It then says Facebook alone has over 3 billion users. But dividing 3 billion by 100 million gives 30, not 300.
Using Meta's own SEC-reported Facebook figure of 3.07 billion monthly active users as of December 31, 2023, the ratio is:
- 3.07 billion / 100 million = 30.7x
Even if you round Facebook down to exactly 3.0 billion, the result is still only 30x. So "nearly 300x" overstates the scale by roughly a factor of 10.
I am not correcting the separate claim that Facebook has over 3 billion users; the error is specifically in the derived multiplier.
