This sentence overstates what the traffic source reports. Press Gazette's ranking is explicitly a list of the top 50 English-language news websites in the world, not all news sites in every language. It also reports visits, not unique monthly 'readers.' In its December 2024 section, the same source says Reuters had 104.9 million visits that month. So the sentence misdescribes both the scope of the ranking and the audience metric.
