Highlights included DeRozan's back-to-back buzzer-beater game-winners, the first ever in NBA history
DeRozan's buzzer-beaters were not the first back-to-back game-winning buzzer-beaters in NBA history. They were the first on consecutive days; Larry Bird had already done it in consecutive games in January 1985.
Full reasoning
This sentence overstates DeMar DeRozan's feat. NBA.com's own recap says DeRozan's two shots were the first on consecutive days, but only the second time anyone had made game-winning buzzer-beaters in consecutive games. NBA.com specifically says the earlier example was Larry Bird in January 1985. Basketball-Reference's game-winning buzzer-beater database also lists Bird buzzer-beaters on Jan. 27, 1985 and Jan. 29, 1985.
So the accurate version is that DeRozan was the first player to do it on consecutive days, not the first ever in NBA history to have back-to-back game-winning buzzer-beaters.
