Claim
0.9.33 / 21 March 2024 (21 March 2024)
Correction

This release line is outdated and also has the wrong date for LMDB 0.9.33. The official OpenLDAP repository shows LMDB 0.9.35 released on January 29, 2026, and tags LMDB 0.9.33 as May 21, 2024, not March 21, 2024.

Full reasoning

The official OpenLDAP GitLab tags page lists newer LMDB releases than the one shown here: it includes LMDB_0.9.34 dated January 26, 2026 and LMDB_0.9.35 dated January 29, 2026. That means 0.9.33 is not the current stable release.

The same official tags page also lists LMDB_0.9.33 as May 21, 2024. So even if the page were trying to describe version 0.9.33, the date shown here (21 March 2024) does not match the upstream release tag.

Claim
This caused the Debian project to exclude the library from 6.0 onwards.
Correction

This is chronologically impossible and contradicted by Debian’s package archive. Debian 6.0 was released on February 6, 2011, before Oracle’s June 2013 license change, and Debian still ships Berkeley DB packages in later releases.

Full reasoning

The sentence says Oracle's June 2013 relicensing caused Debian to exclude Berkeley DB "from 6.0 onwards." That cannot be correct because Debian 6.0 (squeeze) was initially released on February 6, 2011, more than two years earlier.

It is also not true that Debian excluded Berkeley DB from all later releases. Debian's own package pages show the db5.3 source package in bookworm and db5.3-util in sid, which means Berkeley DB remained in Debian well after 6.0.
