25M (!) CI jobs PER DAY
Anthropic did not say it runs 25 million CI jobs per day. Its engineering post says it performs about 25 million code checkouts per day for CI.
Full reasoning
Anthropic's Oct. 13, 2026 engineering post gives the figure as "25 million code checkouts per day for CI", not 25 million CI jobs per day.
That distinction matters:
- A checkout is a repository/materialization operation.
- A CI job is a unit of work in the CI system.
The post is specifically about source-control scaling, and Anthropic says Scion helped because git-style repository distribution was straining under enormous checkout volume in a very large monorepo. It does not claim there were 25 million CI jobs per day.
So this post overstates the reported number by changing the unit from checkouts to jobs.

We perform on the order of 25 million code checkouts per day for CI, before counting developer environments, agent sandboxes, and research jobs.
