Multiple reports about Meta's internal token leaderboard say the well-known "Claudeonomics" dashboard was built by an individual employee, not created by Meta as a company.

• Fortune reported that "A Meta employee independently created a leaderboard" tracking employee token use.
• The same article says the dashboard message described it as "meant to be a fun way for people to look at tokens", and Meta told Fortune: "The employee took down the dashboard at their discretion; Meta did not request this action."
• The Decoder, summarizing The Information's reporting, likewise says "One employee built a leaderboard on the company intranet called 'Claudeonomics'".

Those sources contradict the post's wording in two ways:

1. "Meta ... created" overattributes the leaderboard to the company itself, when reporting says it was independently created by one employee.
2. "in pursuit of tokenmaxxing" states a company motive that the reporting does not support. The public reporting describes tokenmaxxing as something the leaderboard encouraged or that employees engaged in, not as Meta's stated reason for creating it.

So the sentence is misleading: the famous leaderboard was reported as an employee-built internal dashboard, and the available reporting does not support saying Meta created it for the purpose of tokenmaxxing.
