This infobox entry is misleading because it gives 2019 as the mall’s demolition year, but the City of Dallas states that substantial parts of the mall were still standing in 2023.

So while parts of the complex were demolished earlier, the mall itself was not fully demolished in 2019. Presenting the demolition date simply as 2019 (mall) is inaccurate because the final mall demolition happened in 2023.

The statement says Dallas Midtown was "currently slated for 2024," but later reporting shows that timeline did not happen.

Evidence:

• NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth reported on November 21, 2025 that “Construction has begun on a 6-story building at the former Valley View Mall site,” describing it as “the first major step in the long-awaited Dallas Midtown project.”
• FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth likewise reported on November 21, 2025 that a groundbreaking ceremony had just been held for the first project at the former Valley View Mall site.
• The Dallas Express reported on April 4, 2026 that “The long-awaited redevelopment of Dallas Midtown has officially begun, with construction underway at the former Valley View Center site.”

Those reports make clear that Dallas Midtown construction was not underway in 2024 and instead began in late 2025 / early 2026. So the sentence is outdated and factually wrong as written.
