Botanical reference works do not restrict the native range of Eutrema japonicum / Wasabia japonica to Japan alone. Kew’s Plants of the World Online lists the species as native to Japan, Korea, and Sakhalin, and EPPO likewise gives its range as Russian Far East (Sakhalin), Japan, Korea. So the statement that the plant "only grows in Japan" is factually wrong even with the qualifier "traditionally."

A Catalan translation history published by VISAT (PEN Català) says The Importance of Being Earnest was translated into Catalan in 1938 by Eduard Artells under the title "La importància d'ésser fidel". It also notes that Jaume Melendres later translated it as "La importància de ser Frank" in the early 1980s. So "La importància de ser Frank" is one Catalan title, not the one Catalan translations have always used.

The article says the Spanish alternative title "La importancia de ser Franco" was never used. But there are published records showing it was used. For example, La Nación (Argentina) reviewed a Buenos Aires production in 2004 and explicitly said director Hugo Halbrich had chosen "La importancia de ser Franco". The Colegio de Escribanos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires also announced a 2011 performance of "La importancia de ser Franco", describing it as a version of Wilde’s play. So the title has definitely been used in Spanish, even if it may be avoided in Spain because of Francoist associations.
