The shooting did not happen at 20:15. Multiple Turkish reports based on the investigation place the assassination at about 19:05 local time.
Full reasoning
The infobox time is off by roughly 70 minutes.
Two separate Anadolu Agency reports place the attack at 19:05 local time in Ankara:
- A 2021 AA retrospective says Karlov was killed "saat 19.05'te" (at 19:05) while giving his opening speech.
- An AA report on the indictment says Karlov was speaking at 19:04 and that Altıntaş fired nine shots at 19:05.
That means the event time shown here as 20:15 is incorrect for the assassination itself.
