LLMs solving millennium problems our smartest mathematicians have failed.
This is false: the Clay Mathematics Institute still lists six Millennium Prize Problems as unsolved, and the only one marked solved was proved by Grigoriy Perelman, not by an LLM.
Full reasoning
The official Clay Mathematics Institute page for the Millennium Prize Problems still classifies six of them as "Unsolved problems" as of 2026, including Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer, Hodge, P vs NP, the Riemann Hypothesis, and Yang-Mills & the Mass Gap. It lists only one solved Millennium problem: the Poincaré Conjecture.
Clay's dedicated Poincaré Conjecture page says the problem was solved by Grigoriy Perelman, with the solution announced in preprints from 2002 and 2003. So the official record contradicts the claim that LLMs have solved Millennium Problems that top mathematicians could not.
In short: there is no official evidence that any LLM has solved a Millennium Prize Problem, while Clay's own pages explicitly say the remaining problems are unsolved and credit the lone solved one to a human mathematician.

Nearly a century passed between its formulation in 1904 by Henri Poincaré and its solution by Grigoriy Perelman, announced in preprints posted on ArXiv.org in 2002 and 2003.
