The current code (2006 edition) protects large trees and requires significant mitigation if they are removed.
Medina’s tree code is no longer the 2006 edition. The city says its tree code was updated by Ordinance 1012 effective July 16, 2022, and the current Tree Management Code is in Chapter 16.52 of the municipal code.
Full reasoning
This statement is outdated. Medina’s own Development Services page lists a "Tree Code Update" as "Adopted Ordinance 1012" with an effective date of July 16, 2022. The city’s current Trees page also says the current Tree Management Code is in Medina Municipal Code Chapter 16.52.
Because the city itself identifies a 2022 tree-code update and points readers to the current code chapter, describing the current code as the "2006 edition" is incorrect.
