A new space is expected to open on the Hönggerberg campus in 2024.
This is outdated/incorrect. ETH says the planned Hönggerberg Centre for Students and Entrepreneurs project was stopped and relaunched, and the building is now expected to be ready in 2030, not 2024.
Full reasoning
ETH Zurich’s current project page for the Centre for Students and Entrepreneurs (HIC)—the Hönggerberg project that is meant to house the Student Project House—states that ETH stopped the previously planned project after an Executive Board decision on 26 October 2023 and launched a new project instead. The same page says: “The building is expected to be ready in 2030.”
ETH’s foundation also reported on 2 November 2023 that the building project was being relaunched for cost reasons and that the project would be delayed. So a statement saying a new space on Hönggerberg was expected to open in 2024 is no longer accurate.

After the collapse of Credit Suisse in 2025 the association took over sponsorship of the Award for Best Teaching.
Credit Suisse’s emergency takeover happened in 2023, not 2025. ETH does say the Alumni Association sponsored the teaching award for the first time in 2025, but the bank’s collapse/merger was already in 2023.

The date in this sentence is incorrect. FINMA, Switzerland’s financial-market regulator, announced on 19 March 2023 that it had approved UBS’s takeover of Credit Suisse. So the Credit Suisse collapse/rescue event did not happen in 2025.
ETH Zurich does confirm that the ETH Alumni Association sponsored the teaching award for the first time in 2025. But that sponsorship change happened after the 2023 Credit Suisse crisis and takeover, not after a 2025 collapse. The sentence therefore misdates the Credit Suisse event by about two years.
