Hatsune Miku was first released on August 31, 2007, as the third commercially sold Vocaloid library.
This release-order claim is incorrect. Official VOCALOID history shows several commercial Vocaloid libraries were already on sale before Hatsune Miku, including Leon, Lola, Meiko, and Kaito.
Full reasoning
Yamaha's official VOCALOID History page contradicts this.
It says that in 2004, Leon and Lola were released as "the first VOCALOID products," and that Meiko was also released in November 2004 as the first Japanese vocal library. It then says Kaito was released in 2006 as the second Japanese vocal library, and only after that says Hatsune Miku was released on August 31, 2007.
So Hatsune Miku was not the third commercially sold Vocaloid library overall. Based on Yamaha's release history, at least four commercial Vocaloid libraries preceded her: Leon, Lola, Meiko, and Kaito.

Leon and Lola ... are released ... the first VOCALOID products... Meiko ... released ... in November 2004... Kaito ... released by Crypton Future Media... Hatsune Miku ... was released ... on August 31 [2007].
Hatsune Miku V6 was eventually released on April 14, 2026 after prolonged development delays, and included two voicebanks; Original and Soft, capable of singing in Japanese, English and Chinese.
This overstates Hatsune Miku V6's launch languages. Official VOCALOID pages say the April 14, 2026 release supported Japanese and English, while Chinese support was only planned for a future update.
Full reasoning
Official Yamaha VOCALOID materials do not say Chinese was available in Hatsune Miku V6 at launch.
On Yamaha's official April 14, 2026 news post announcing the release, the product is described as supporting Japanese and English, with "Chinese support planned for a future update." The official VOCALOID SHOP product page says the same thing even more explicitly: "Currently, this product supports only Japanese and English. Chinese is not supported at this time, but support is planned for a future update."
So the article's wording is inaccurate because it presents Chinese as already included in the released V6 voicebanks, when the official release information says Chinese support was not yet available at that time.
