Ghosts was the last Call of Duty game to be released on a Nintendo system until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
This is premature. As of July 8, 2026, Modern Warfare 4 has not been released yet; its official Nintendo Switch 2 launch date is October 23, 2026.
Full reasoning
This repeated sentence has the same timing problem as the earlier occurrence. Activision's official support page says "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches worldwide on October 23, 2026" and that it "is also launching on Nintendo Switch 2". Nintendo's own announcement likewise says the game "launches on 23rd October for Nintendo Switch 2".
Because July 8, 2026 is still before October 23, 2026, Modern Warfare 4 has not yet been released on Nintendo hardware. So this sentence is currently inaccurate: Ghosts is still the latest released Call of Duty title on a Nintendo platform unless and until Modern Warfare 4 actually launches.
