NGO
Correction
VHEMT’s own materials explicitly say it is a movement, not an organization, so calling it an NGO is inaccurate.
Full reasoning
The label “NGO” means non-governmental organization, but VHEMT’s own official pages repeatedly say the opposite:
- On its “About the Movement” page, VHEMT states: “VHEMT ... is a movement not an organization.”
- On the same page, it also says: “The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement is not an organization” and describes itself as “millions of individuals” rather than a formal body.
That makes the infobox label “NGO” inaccurate. A more accurate description would be an environmental movement or an informal movement/network, not a nongovernmental organization.
