The claim says a 1992 DR DOS "business update" bypassed the Windows 3.1 AARD code. Two technical historical sources contradict that.

1. Geoff Chappell’s analysis of surviving DR DOS binaries says Wikipedia’s dating is wrong and gives a table of tested builds showing:

   • DR DOS 6.0, 7 April 1992 — fail
   • DR DOS 6.0, 19 March 1993 — fail
   • Novell DOS 7.0, 26 January 1994 — pass

   In other words, the 1992 DR DOS 6.0 update did not bypass the AARD checks.

2. Matthias Paul’s DR DOS history / RBIL notes likewise say that Novell DOS 7 Beta 3 (September 1993) “does not have workarounds for Windows 3.1 ‘AARD’ code” and that the German Novell DOS 7 release (22 February 1994) “is known to have workarounds for Windows 3.1 ‘AARD’ code.” That is incompatible with the article’s statement that a 1992 DR DOS patch already bypassed AARD.

So the article’s sentence is misleading on both timing and effect: the April 1992 DR DOS 6.0 update was not the AARD-bypassing release, and documented AARD workarounds appear later, in Novell DOS 7-era releases from 1994.
