- The New Zealand Parliament records that Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke (born 2002) was elected on 14 October 2023, at about 21 years old.
Because Gen Z parliamentarians were already being elected in 2022 and 2023, candidates from the National Citizen Party and Rastriya Swatantra Party were not "the world's first" Gen Z figures elected as members of parliament.
