with the first two being added in the past three years alone.
That timing is outdated: Emperor opened in March 2022 and Arctic Rescue opened in June 2023, so by October 20, 2026 both are more than three years old or close to three-and-a-half years old.
Full reasoning
This relative-time claim is no longer accurate.
SeaWorld San Diego announced Emperor would open in March 2022, and SeaWorld later announced Arctic Rescue would open to the public on June 2, 2023. As of October 20, 2026, Emperor has been open for more than 4.5 years and Arctic Rescue for more than 3 years and 4 months.
So saying those two rides were added “in the past three years alone” is false now.

Currently, SeaWorld houses 18 killer whales in its three parks.
SeaWorld’s current official park pages list 17 orcas across its three U.S. parks, not 18.
Full reasoning
SeaWorld’s own current webpages contradict this total.
- SeaWorld San Diego lists 8 orcas: Corky, Ikaika, Kalia, Keet, Makani, Orkid, Shouka, and Ulises.
- SeaWorld Orlando says 5 orcas live there: Katina, Nalani, Makaio, Malia, and Trua.
- SeaWorld San Antonio says it has 4 orcas: Kyuquot, Tuar, Sakari, and Takara.
That adds up to 17, not 18.
So the article’s current-tense total is off by one based on SeaWorld’s own published park information.

Four killer whales live at SeaWorld Orlando: Makaio, Malia, Trua, and Nalani
SeaWorld Orlando’s official site says there are five orcas there, not four; Katina is missing from this list.
Full reasoning
SeaWorld Orlando’s official website currently answers this directly: “Five orcas live at our SeaWorld Orlando theme park.” It then identifies them as Katina, Nalani, Makaio, Malia, and Trua.
The article’s list names only Makaio, Malia, Trua, and Nalani, omitting Katina, so the count of four is incorrect.
