WG21’s own editors’ report dated May 12, 2026 says two things that directly contradict this sentence:

1. “The Draft International Standard that will be sent for the ISO ballot has not yet been completed.”
2. “N5046 has not yet been approved in a WG21 meeting.”

If the draft had been “officially shipped by WG21 on 28 March 2026,” it would not still be unapproved and incomplete more than six weeks later.

So the article’s statement gives a definitive shipment date that the committee’s own post-meeting documentation contradicts.

WG21’s June 1, 2026 editors’ report states:

• “N5050 is the current working draft, the final draft for C++26 and the initial draft for C++29.”
• It also says “It replaces N5046.”

That means the article’s statement that N5046 is the current working revision of C++26 was already no longer true by June 1, 2026.

The article says the committee had already finished resolving the ballot comments, finalized the draft, and sent it out for final approval at the March 23–28, 2026 meeting.

WG21’s own post-meeting editors’ report, dated May 12, 2026, says otherwise:

• “The Draft International Standard that will be sent for the ISO ballot has not yet been completed.”
• “N5046 has not yet been approved in a WG21 meeting.”

So even after the March 2026 meeting, the draft was still incomplete and unapproved.

Separately, the official agenda for that meeting names the location as Croydon, UK, not “London, United Kingdom.”
