This overstates what the evidence actually shows.

The Model Republic investigation linked in the post argues that Acutus uses AI extensively, but it does not establish that the outlet is entirely run by AI. In the same article, Model Republic describes a human-in-the-loop workflow: it says story-review issues are resolved by a user, and that a final publication click happens after that review. It also argues that Patrick Hynes / Novus Public Affairs may be operating the publication — which, if true, means humans are involved in running it.

Acutus' own public pages also describe human editorial and contributor processes, not a fully autonomous AI operation. Its About page says an "editorial team" identifies topics and invites contributors, and its contributor page says applications are reviewed and applicants are contacted when their expertise matches story topics.

So the available public record supports a narrower claim — that Acutus appears to rely heavily on AI for interviewing, drafting, and editing — but it does not support the categorical statement that it is "entirely run by AIs."
