A reliable biographical reference contradicts the inclusion of Christoph Schönebeck as a founder of the 1607 foundation.

The Deutsche Biographie entry for Christoph Schönebeck states that he later expanded "die von seinen Eltern 1607 mit einem Kapital von 5000 Reichstalern errichtete Stipendienstiftung" — i.e. the stipend foundation had already been established in 1607 by his parents. The same source then separately explains that Christoph founded the Schönbeck library with his books and 700 talers. In other words, Christoph was an important later benefactor, but not a founder of the original 1607 foundation.

The official state foundation register also dates the foundation to 06.01.1607 and describes its basis as the relevant testamentary dispositions, which matches the foundation’s creation in the parental generation rather than by Christoph.

So the founder line is inaccurate insofar as it names Christoph Schönebeck as a "Stifter" of the 1607 foundation instead of a later enlarger/endower of it.
