Claim
Kamakura, Japan
Correction
Suzuki lived in Kamakura, but sources on his death state that he died at St. Luke’s Hospital in Tokyo, not in Kamakura.
Full reasoning
This misstates Suzuki’s place of death.
The D.T. Suzuki Museum’s chronology says that in 1966 he “Died at St. Luke’s International Hospital on July 12th.” Matsugaoka Bunko, the archive founded by Suzuki himself, is even more specific: it says he “Dies at St. Luke’s Hospital, Tokyo on July 12 at the age 95.”
So Kamakura was his home base, but the place where he died was St. Luke’s Hospital in Tokyo.
