Marsh lost 295 employees and 63 consultants that morning, more than any other firm in the North Tower.
The comparison is wrong. Cantor Fitzgerald, which was also in the North Tower, lost 658 employees on 9/11—far more than Marsh.
Full reasoning
The post's comparative claim is contradicted by official 9/11 Memorial Museum material.
- The National September 11 Memorial & Museum says Cantor Fitzgerald occupied the top floors of the North Tower and that 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees were killed that day.
- Another official 9/11 Memorial Museum article states that those 658 deaths were "the largest loss of any single company on 9/11."
That means Marsh was not the firm that lost more people than any other firm in the North Tower. Even if Marsh's own loss figure in the post is accepted, Cantor Fitzgerald's loss was substantially higher.
So the false part here is the phrase "more than any other firm in the North Tower."
