Ege Erdil is not listed as an Epoch AI co-founder in Epoch AI’s own materials. Epoch’s official founding-team announcement names seven other founders, and a 2025 Epoch author page describes Erdil as a former researcher.

- In Epoch AI’s 2022 announcement post, the organization says: “Our founding team consists of seven members – Jaime Sevilla, Tamay Besiroglu, Lennart Heim, Pablo Villalobos, Edu Roldán, Marius Hobbhahn, and Anson Ho.” Ege Erdil is not included in that list.
- In a 2025 Epoch AI publication page for Erdil, the site identifies him as “a former researcher at Epoch AI,” not a founder.
Those primary sources make the article’s description of Erdil as a “Co-founder of Epoch AI” incorrect.
