Authoritative histories of Colombia do not place the start of Conservative dominance in 1867.

• The U.S. Library of Congress country study says that after the 1863 Constitution, "Golgotas controlled the presidency until 1884".
• The same Library of Congress study on Colombian politics says "The PL traditionally dominated, the main exception being the period of Conservative hegemony from 1886 to 1930."

So the article's claim that Conservatives were in control "since 1867" is off by about two decades. The standard periodization is Liberal predominance through the federal era, followed by Conservative/Nationalist dominance beginning with the 1886 constitutional order.

Netflix's own production announcement contradicts this wording. In the official April 17, 2024 first-look announcement for One Hundred Years of Solitude, Netflix says the series was "Directed by Laura Mora and Alex García López" and repeats in the fact sheet: "Directors: Alex García López and Laura Mora."

So the article is incorrect in attributing direction solely to Alex García López.

The Neustadt Prize is not a book prize awarded to a specific novel. According to the Neustadt Prize's official history, the award is given to a living author in recognition of literary achievement: "Any living author writing in any language is eligible" and the prize may honor a lifetime's achievement or an important body of work.

The official laureates page for 1972 lists Gabriel García Márquez as the Neustadt laureate. That means the article's sentence is inaccurate insofar as it says the novel received the United States' Books Abroad/Neustadt International Prize for Literature. The award went to García Márquez, not specifically to One Hundred Years of Solitude.
