The post’s own follow-up says Gemini chose an RFC 5737 TEST-NET-1 address. TEST-NET-1 is a documentation-only block reserved by IANA/ARIN, not a U.S. Department of Defense-assigned IP range.

In the follow-up reply to this same post, the author says Gemini "pointed to RFC 5737" and that the address was "listed as TEST-NET-1 in RFC." RFC 5737 defines TEST-NET-1 (192.0.2.0/24) as an IPv4 block reserved for documentation and examples, not as an operational address block assigned to any organization.
