The error is in the acronym. The organization now called Centro Caribe Sports describes the Games as being organized by Centro Caribe Sports "(formerly CACSO)" on its official website. A 2020 announcement from the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee likewise states: "The Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO) approved ... to change its name to CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS."

So the former name was Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO), not CASCO. This appears to be a typo/transposition of the letters S and C in the acronym.

The claim's current-ownership statement is outdated. On Casco's official website, the sustainability page says in Swedish: "Sedan 2015 så är Casco en del av Sika Sverige" — i.e., "Since 2015, Casco has been part of Sika Sweden." The same site is branded under Sika Group and lists Sika Sverige AB as the company contact.

That directly contradicts the statement that Casco is "now a part of AkzoNobel." Casco may have formerly been associated with AkzoNobel, but the present-tense ownership claim on this page is no longer correct.
