- Latimer was not working for Edison when he developed and patented this filament improvement in 1882. He was then working for Hiram Maxim’s U.S. Electric Lighting Company, and joined Edison’s company later, in 1884.
- This caption is incorrect. Metal-filament incandescent lamps predated tantalum lamps: platinum filament lamps were being tested in the 19th century, and Carl Auer von Welsbach patented the first metal-filament lamp in 1898 using osmium.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_light_bulb
- Edison was not the first to demonstrate a carbon-filament light bulb. Joseph Swan demonstrated a carbon light bulb in Newcastle on December 18, 1878, before Edison's October 1879 demonstration.
- This sentence is doubly wrong: electric light bulbs predated Edison's 1879 lamp, and Edison's carbon-filament bulbs were commercialized in 1880, not in 1879.

- This payroll total is outdated. After BLS benchmark revisions, the BLS-sourced series shows total nonfarm employment at 158,268 thousand in January 2025, not 159,053 thousand.
- This starting payroll figure is also outdated. Revised BLS payroll data put total nonfarm employment at 142,863 thousand in January 2021, not 143,443 thousand.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Resignation
- BLS reports the opposite for 2021: nonfarm business productivity grew 1.9%, not fell 4.1%. The largest annual productivity drop in recent BLS data was 1.7% in 2022, and BLS says that was the biggest decline since 1974, not 1948.
- This is off by several years. The Census Bureau defines Baby Boomers as those born from 1946 to 1964, so the youngest boomers were still in their late 50s in the early 2020s, not their mid-60s.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AI_Futures_Project#AI_2027
- This is out of date. The AI Futures Project’s official site now lists Lauren Mangla—not Jonas Vollmer—as Chief Operating Officer.
- The official AI 2027 materials credit Scott Alexander more prominently than as an editor: he is listed in the byline and is described as having rewritten the text in an engaging style.
- The project’s own public materials indicate it predates 2025. Its LinkedIn page says it was founded in 2024, and an official post from April 3, 2025 says the team had already been working together for more than half a year.
- That misstates how the authors describe AI 2027. In their own materials, they call it a “scenario forecast,” say it represents their “best guess,” and explicitly say their goal is “predictive accuracy.”

- 936 GB/s is the bandwidth of one RTX 3090, not eight of them. An 8× RTX 3090 setup has about 7.49 TB/s of aggregate memory bandwidth, assuming you sum per-card bandwidth the same way the article sums it for other multi-GPU builds.
- An RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell is not faster in memory bandwidth than an entire 8× RTX 3090 setup. NVIDIA lists the RTX PRO 6000 at about 1.8 TB/s, while eight RTX 3090s total about 7.49 TB/s if you aggregate per-card bandwidth.
- Not by bandwidth: tinygrad's own tinybox red v2 page lists 2,560 GB/s aggregate GPU RAM bandwidth, while eight RTX 3090s would total about 7,488 GB/s if aggregated the same way.
- The M3 Ultra bandwidth figure in the table is far too low. Apple lists M3 Ultra Mac Studio at 819 GB/s of unified memory bandwidth, not roughly 300 GB/s.

- Scottsdale Public Library does not have five library locations. The library's official locations page lists four total libraries: Appaloosa, Arabian, Civic Center, and Mustang.
- These Scottsdale Unified School District figures are outdated and incorrect. The district now says it has about 20,000 students across 29 physical campuses and one online high school, and employs about 3,000 people.
- This is incorrect because Arizona also has MOCA Tucson, an operating contemporary art museum in Tucson devoted exclusively to contemporary art.
