This is a numerical error. Sichuan officially has 21 prefecture-level divisions.

The Sichuan provincial government's official overview states that the province "has jurisdiction over 21 cities (autonomous prefectures) and 183 counties." That directly contradicts the phrase "The twenty prefectures of Sichuan..." The county-level total of 183 is consistent with the official source; the incorrect part is the count of prefecture-level divisions.

This is a naming error. The official name of the World Heritage property is "Mount Qingcheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System".

Both UNESCO and the Sichuan provincial government use Qingcheng, not Qincheng. So the article's site name is misspelled/incorrect in this list.

This claim is no longer accurate in its present-tense form.

The National Immigration Administration's current policy page says China is now implementing a 240-hour visa-free transit policy for nationals of 55 countries. Separately, an official Dec. 17, 2024 government notice says the policy was expanded from 72/144 hours to 240 hours, and specifically notes that Chengdu Tianfu International Airport was added under the expanded policy.

So the statement that Chengdu airports "are" on a 144-hour policy for 53 countries is outdated and incorrect under the current rules.

This figure is off by a very large margin.

The Sichuan Public Security Department's official 2021 departmental accounts report total revenue/expenditure of 113,875.40万元 for 2021, and general public-budget fiscal expenditure of 108,618.40万元. Because 1 万元 = 10,000 yuan, those figures are roughly 1.14 billion yuan and 1.09 billion yuan, respectively.

That directly conflicts with the claim that the agency had a 2021 budget of only 45.8 million yuan. Even the department's official 2021 spending totals were far above 45.8 million yuan.
