In the formal apostle lists in Mark and Luke, the name is Matthew, not Levi. Levi appears in the calling narratives, but Mark 3:18 and Luke 6:15 list “Matthew.”

This section is titled “Lists of the Twelve Apostles in the New Testament”, so the entries should reflect the names used in those formal lists.
But in the lists themselves, Mark 3:18 names “Matthew”, and Luke 6:15 also names “Matthew.” The name Levi appears elsewhere in those gospels in the calling narratives—Mark 2:14 says Jesus saw “Levi son of Alphaeus”, and Luke 5:27 says he saw “a tax collector named Levi.”
