Multiple sources place the streaming premiere of Curious George: Go West, Go Wild on September 8, 2020. Rotten Tomatoes lists its Release Date (Streaming) as Sep 8, 2020. Animation World Network, reporting Peacock's announcement, also says the movie was "premiering September 8." That same AWN article separately lists September 20 as the date Peacock added older Curious George movies and seasons 1–9, which appears to be the date that was mistakenly applied to Go West, Go Wild in the article.

The article gives 1958 as the production year for the Weston Woods film adaptation of Curious George Rides a Bike, but Weston Woods/Scholastic materials and a museum catalog both date that film to 1983. A Scholastic Weston Woods catalog entry for Curious George Rides a Bike explicitly says "1983 release", and ACMI's catalog lists the work as a United States, 1983 film with production company Weston Woods Studios and production date 1983.

The article says the Man with the Yellow Hat "receives his name in the Curious George TV series," but the 2006 film had already named him Ted before the TV show premiered. Rotten Tomatoes' synopsis for the film says "explorer Ted journeys to Africa," and gives the film's theatrical release date as February 10, 2006. Rotten Tomatoes lists the TV series' release date as September 4, 2006. So the name did not first appear in the TV series; it was already in the movie months earlier.
