In 1994, Zhu obtained a master's degree in physics from Tsinghua.
GigaDevice's official filings say 1994 was Zhu's Tsinghua bachelor's year, not his master's year. They state he received a bachelor's in 1994 and a master's in engineering from Tsinghua in 1997.

GigaDevice's own securities filings contradict this date and degree description. In its 2025 annual report, the company says Zhu obtained a bachelor’s degree in modern applied physics from Tsinghua University in July 1994 and a master’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University in June 1997. That directly conflicts with the statement that he got a master's degree in physics in 1994.
The chronology in GigaDevice's earlier annual report is also consistent with a later Tsinghua master's: it places Zhu working in Beijing from July 1997 to July 1998 before starting his master's at SUNY Stony Brook in August 1998. So 1994 was not the year of his Tsinghua master's in the company's own official biography.
