A royal decree on 18 September 1835 declared Athens as the new capital, but the court with the king did not move in until 1837.
This sentence is off by years: Athens was declared capital in 1834, and the transfer took effect on 1 December 1834, not 1835 or 1837.

Multiple sources contradict both parts of this sentence.
- The Institute for Neohellenic Research states that the Regency decree was issued on 18/30 September 1834, and explicitly says that the capital would be moved from 1 December 1834 from Nauplion to Athens.
- The National Observatory of Athens likewise dates the establishment of Athens as capital to 1834.
- A Cambridge source on modern Athens states that 1/13 December 1834 was the scheduled date for the transfer of the capital, and that Otto entered the new capital then.
So the article's date 1835 is incorrect, and the statement that the king and court did not move until 1837 is also incorrect. The move occurred in December 1834.
