- The cited Pew report does not say 40% of evangelicals were not raised Christian. It shows most current evangelicals were raised Christian, with large shares coming from evangelical, mainline Protestant, or Catholic backgrounds.
- That overstates Protestant theology. Protestants reject salvation by works, but classic Protestant confessions explicitly teach that good works are the fruits or evidence of genuine faith.
- That is too absolute. Major church-planting networks require assessment, sending-church involvement, coaching, theological commitments, and ongoing accountability beyond mere funders.
- Recent church-planting research does not show planters are usually under 25. Large North American studies put the median launch age around 42.
