  • The ‘fellow … in 1975’ part is wrong. ICAEW says fellowship requires 10 years of continuous membership, so someone qualifying in 1975 could not also have become an ICAEW fellow that same year.
  • Election results were shown on Indian television before 1989. NDTV itself has published that Doordarshan first shared election results on TV in 1971, and an India Today report discusses viewers watching election results on Doordarshan in 1977.
  • The dollar conversion is off. ₹27 crore was about US$3.6 million in 2020 at RBI’s average 2020 USD/INR rate, not US$2.8 million.
