- The 2007 USDA dairy report gives those percentages for operations, not cows. For cows, the same report shows 19.0% were on operations with no outside access in summer, and only 22.3% were on operations whose primary outside area was pasture.
- This was not the most recent U.S. data. USDA’s Dairy 2014 report found 19.9% of lactating cows had at least some pasture access, far above 5%.
- AGW’s standards are broader than this. They require continuous outdoor pasture access, but cows may be removed for reasons beyond fires, including extreme weather and predator protection, and a written plan is required for any planned removal or emergencies lasting over 28 days.
- The study’s figure does not mean cows get mastitis about once per year on average. It reports about 24.4 cases per 100 cow-lactations, which is roughly 0.24 cases per cow-lactation.

- This quote reverses the direction of the finding in the cited press release. The AAD/Newswise release says those reapplying every 2.5 hours or more frequently were five times more likely to sunburn than those reapplying every 2 hours or more, and a contemporaneous report likewise says sunburn was fivefold more common with less frequent reapplication.

- For frontier language models, this is backwards: training usually uses sampled contiguous token sequences or chunks, not isolated random tokens. Batching/shuffling data does not mean the model is trained 'instead of' on continuous token sequences.
- Autoregressive language models are explicitly trained to use previous tokens to predict later ones. That is the core next-token-prediction objective, so saying they 'cannot use past inputs to predict future inputs' is incorrect.

- This algorithm would not correctly sum a list. A recursive list-sum should add the first element to the sum of the remaining list, not repeatedly add `result` to itself and then add one final element.

- This oversimplifies the first dorsal interosseous muscle's origin. Standard anatomy references say it arises from the adjacent surfaces of the first and second metacarpals, not just from the base of the thumb metacarpal.
- This misidentifies the digit. Kunpengopterus was reported with an opposed pollex (thumb) on both hands, not an opposable toe on each wing.

- The 11.8% figure applies to UCSD’s incoming fall 2025 cohort, not to all UCSD students. UCSD had about 45,000 total students in 2025, so 12% of all students would be far larger.

- That math does not fit Cisco’s reported acquisition figures. Duo had raised $119M, but Cisco’s SEC filing says all three acquisitions it completed in that six-month period brought only about $85M of cash total, so Duo must have spent well over $14M before the sale.

- NASA’s post-loss investigations put the likely failure during propellant-tank pressurization three days before orbit insertion, not during an engine restart for a course-correction burn.
- By November 1982 the Viking 1 orbiter had already been shut down, and NASA says the lander could communicate directly with Earth. The issue was not that the antenna was no longer pointed at an orbiter.
