- This is an anachronism: 5th Signal Command did not exist during the 1950s–1960s French basing period. The command was activated in 1974, long after the U.S. withdrawal from France in 1967.
- The expansion of TASCOM is wrong. U.S. Army sources expand TASCOM as “Theater Army Support Command,” not “Theater Area Support Command.”
- The glossary expansion is incorrect. In U.S. military usage, POL stands for “petroleum, oil, and lubricants,” not “petrol, oil, lubrication.”
- SHAPE was headquartered at Rocquencourt, but “Camp des Loges” is the wrong site name here. Camp des Loges was associated with USEUCOM near Saint-Germain-en-Laye, not SHAPE’s headquarters at Rocquencourt.

- The start date is too late. Multiple historical sources place the Flotte du Levant well before 1689, including under Richelieu in the 1620s and explicitly in existence in 1660.
