  • Frank Oidtmann is no longer the current Stiftsmusikdirektor. Sources from 2025 report that he left Tübingen for a new Kantor post in Kaufbeuren.
  • Frank Oidtmann’s tenure did not end in 2024. Sources from 2025 state that he served as music director at the Evangelisches Stift Tübingen until 2025.

  • Super-Kamiokande is about 1,000 meters underground, not 2,700 meters. The 2,700 figure refers to meters water equivalent overburden, not the actual depth below ground.
  • Borexino is no longer an active running detector. The collaboration’s official site says the last data-acquisition run ended on October 7, 2021.
  • Homestake was primarily sensitive to high-energy boron-8 solar neutrinos, not mainly to beryllium-7 neutrinos.
  • This is outdated/misstated. The total solar-neutrino flux observed at Earth agrees with solar-model predictions; the historic one-third deficit applied mainly to electron neutrinos before flavor conversion was understood.
  • Homestake did not register a few argon atoms per day over only “several years.” It ran for decades, and the official historical record gives an average production of about 0.48 argon atoms per day, with extractions done roughly every two months.

  • This overstates the analogy. Ordinary Bogoliubov quasiparticles in superconductors are not generally their own antiparticles; the self-conjugate Majorana case is the special zero-energy case.
  • The dimension is off by a factor of two. A set of 2n Majorana operators with anticommutators {γ_i,γ_j}=2δ_ij generates the Clifford algebra on a 2n-dimensional space, i.e. Cl(R^{2n}), not Cl(R^n).
  • The 2016 ORNL result did not report direct observation of Majorana fermions. The paper and ORNL’s own write-up described signatures/evidence in α-RuCl3 and called it a proximate candidate, not an observation of Majorana quasiparticles themselves.

  • This mixes up MiniBooNE and MicroBooNE. MiniBooNE is not currently running, and Fermilab later reported the 'no hint of a sterile neutrino' result from MicroBooNE, not MiniBooNE.
  • This overstates the LEP/Z-boson constraint. Z-width measurements limit only neutrinos that couple to the weak force; sterile neutrinos, by definition, need not couple to the Z at all, so they do not need to be heavier than 45.6 GeV.

  • The title is misstated. Heisenberg's 1926 Mathematische Annalen paper is titled "Über quantentheoretische Kinematik und Mechanik," not "Über quantenmechanische Kinematik und Mechanik."
